Some of the lies being told by someone are about to be revealed.
In his testimony before Congress, disgraced former FBI acting director and full-time suckweasel Andrew McCabe stated that at a May 16, 2017 meeting at the Department of Justice, with Rod Rosenstein present, that there was a discussion on mobilizing President Trump’s cabinet secretaries to declare him incompetent and to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office (see Andrew McCabe Claims Department Of Justice Tried To Organize President Trump’s Removal Under 25th Amendment). Rosenstein says the conversation took place but that, from his point of view, the idea of getting someone to wear a wire when talking to the president and removing him from office was ridiculous and he took it as a joke.
Now Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham seems to be interested in finding out exactly what did happen.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham announced Friday the panel will investigate alleged discussions between high-ranking Justice Department officials about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.
Graham, R-S.C., penned a letter Friday to Attorney General William Barr, requesting documentation of the discussions which allegedly involved Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is set to leave the Justice Department shortly, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and others.
“The Committee is deeply concerned with these discussions and whether they essentially indicate that two of the highest ranking law enforcement officials in the United States were discussing what amounts to a coup against the President,” Graham wrote to Barr. “Accordingly, the Committee plans to conduct oversight into these discussions and related matters.”

Anyway you cut it, this is a good thing. I suspect that there was a discussion of the 25th Amendment, much as McCabe says because Rosenstein has always been part of the problem. He is a wimpy, mealy mouth little dweeb who, even though he was a Bush appointee as US Attorney for Maryland, managed to ingratiate himself enough to the Obama administration to keep his job. That, right there, should have warned the Trump administration about the danger of making him deputy attorney general. He was the US attorney overseeing the investigation of Uranium One by Mueller’s FBI. He is the reason that Mueller’s investigation has been an exercise in targeting members of the Trump campaign. Flynn was an adverse witness in a sex discrimination investigation against McCabe. Andrew Weissmann talked to reporters about a possible investigation of Paul Manafort before joining Mueller’s team.
Of course, McCabe has shown that he might very well be a sociopathic liar given his testimony on everything else.
Regardless, this is a good way to raise the stakes for the people involved in concocting and prolonging this Russia-collusion investigation. They should be held to account and forced to admit that they were disloyal cretins or liars or both.
